I love Paris. And not in the cheesy, basic, 'Home Goods generic artwork featuring a black and white Eiffel Tower with a selectively colored street lamp' kind of way.
My love for Paris (and France) runs deep. I've studied the language since 7th grade (with a little break in there I'd like to call 'early adulthood' when I worried less about becoming bilingual and more about feeding myself) and I speak it enough to stay in the good graces of proud Parisians.
And when I decided to overcome anxiety to take my first completely solo trip, Paris was the place I decided to return to. I was familiar with the city, the language, the public transportation, and felt comfortable going alone.
However, one thing I've learned after taking that solo trip is how many females say they'd be too intimidated to travel to a non-English speaking city solo.
Because of the confidence I gained on my solo trip, I encouraged friends to give it a try themselves, and some have! Others, however, still feel as though solo travel is a bit outside of their comfort zone.
This trip is designed for women who find themselves in the middle between total independence, and needing a hand to hold them through the entire experience.
Our adventure is semi-independent: I do the planning and organizing, and you get to have a mix of group time and solo exploration. My goal is for you to gain confidence when you're out of your comfort zone, while still having an experienced traveler with you for advice, translating, and planning.
A trip with me with me would not be complete with out photos and this trip provides all attendees with numerous photo opportunities in the city of lights!
So read on to learn about what YOU get when you attend This Girl Has Flown... to Paris!

So many wedding collections are overkill. You don't want to pay for hours you don't need, or products you don't want. Or maybe you just know exactly what you want. Either way, I've got your back!
Collection no. 1 is also known as the "Build Your Own" collection, and it starts with six hours of coverage, two photographers, and hundreds of edited digital files to download, share, and print.
Collection no. 1 is a la carte based, so while you may keep the collection as-is, it's really meant to be customized with sweet add-ons like photo sessions, a wedding album, parent albums, or additional hours, all of which are discounted when added at booking.
The goal for this trip is to keep everything as simple as possible for you. I love planning travel, so let me do the work and you'll be prepped with every bit of information I can possibly throw at you in order to make your journey less stressful and more fun!
Even if you've never been to Paris, you'll arrive feeling prepared as I'll prep you with all kinds of information about the city, how to get around, and where to explore. Between my own trips to Paris and all of the research I've done along the way, I've done the hard work so you don't have to!
AND! You will receive a few gifts that'll be perfect for practicing the language and getting off the beaten path.
You'll receive documents prior to the trip outlining topics like:
Buying flights;
Airport transfers;
Trip insurance;
Cultural differences and etiquette;
Travel apps;
Packing list;
The most popular tourist attractions;
And some less popular ones;
Where to eat, people watch, shop, or get coffee;
and more.
Plus, prior to the trip I'll host a few Q&A sessions in our private Facebook group so you can ask anything!

We'll be staying at my favorite hotel in Paris, Hotel Henriette. Why is it my favorite? For one, the decor is on point. Each room is decorated differently than the others, and there's a sweet little courtyard where you can choose to have your mid-afternoon tea and croissant break.
I'm also a big fan of the location: It's not located smack dab in the middle of tourist central, but is still just a quick ten minute metro ride (or a nice 20-30 minute stroll) to the Seine. You're in a real Parisian neighborhood around the corner from a wonderful little boulangerie with the best pain au chocolat I've ever eaten. The Mouffetard market is easily walkable; there's a metro stop just a minute's walk from the hotel; and the street we're on is cobblestoned and peaceful at night.
All rooms include:
Temperature control;
Private bathroom and shower;
Wifi *see Q&A for info
TV
Safe
Hairdryer
All attendees will have a private room. Traveling with a friend and want to room together? Let me know!

My biggest goal for this trip is to introduce people to the art of solo travel without the fear of truly being alone.
Because the best part of solo travel is the freedom, I'm not bogging your schedule down with forced togetherness. Besides the group photo excursions, your day is your own to explore, wander, or take in the culture. I'll be available to help you pre-purchase tickets, navigate the metro, or to give suggestions for neighborhoods to explore.
That said, there may be times where several of us want to hang out together! Optional group activities may include:
Visit to a Parisian farmer's market;
Picnic lunch in the park;
Private boat ride on one of the Seine's canals

Consider the value in having your photos taken over three full days in Paris, one of the dreamiest cities in the world. And you don't even have to pack a tripod and be awkward about taking your own photo like I've had to do in the past! ;)
How often do you come home from a trip with only selfies to show for it? Too often, we're the ones behind the camera snapping photos of our loved ones, only to end up with photos of us with our feet cropped out or our eyes half open.
Thanks, husbands everywhere. :)
On this trip, I remedy that problem! You'll be able to leave your selfie stick at home and keep your phone in your purse while I do all of the snapping; the full gallery is sent to you after the trip, including my snapshots of the city itself.
What kind of photo sessions are in store? We'll have two group photo walks, where you can get those candid shots around Paris that you've always dreamed of; a sunrise session at the Trocadero with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower; and individual mini sessions at our adorable hotel.
For more details, visit this page on your computer!
To some of my favorite photogenic spots around the city, like Paris' most colorful street, or the neighborhood of Montmartre. Weather permitting, we'll head out twice for group photo walks where each attendee gets their chance in front of the camera!
The Trocadéro is a classic photo spot with a completely full view of the Eiffel Tower. We'll visit at sunrise: the early wake up call is worth it when you see how many tourists flock to this spot by mid-morning. Everyone gets their chance in front of the camera at a few key spots at the Trocadero.
Hotel Henriette is just about the cutest hotel around, so it'd be a shame to waste its photogenic beauty! Each attendee gets a personal mini session in and around the hotel. Bring along props and utilize the courtyard; get cozy photos inside your room, or take to the quiet cobblestoned streets around the hotel.
Last time, one woman (an artist) bought a small canvas and painted during her session. Another (an event planner) made floral arrangements. The possibilities are endless!

A gallery filled with the images I snapped around Paris! They're web-ready and yours to share on social media, or use in a blog post.
Want the full photo session experience while you're here with a professional photographer? I'm offering two full solo photo sessions to be held in the location(s) of your choice at $450 each. Because there are only two sessions available, the earliest registrants for Paris will have first dibs.
Full photo sessions are 90 minutes (including travel time between locations), and we'll work together to plan your dream photo session! Just select the option on the registration page and one of the sessions is yours!

(For a wayyyy more in-depth Q & A, please visit this page on your computer)
1. I don't speak a lick of French, is that okay?
Oui! I got you covered!
2. Why Paris?
I know this city better than I know, say, NYC or DC. I also love it to bits, and I want to share that with others.
3. What airport should I fly into?
Either Charles de Gaulle or Orly. I prefer Orly as it's closer to the city center than CDG.
Q & A
Because I often attract laid back, type-b couples, they, like myself, believe that the wedding day is meant to be savored and enjoyed. Loved ones have traveled across states and oceans to be with the bride and groom, who are often absent due to scheduled portrait times and other photography-related events.
I'm always sure to work with couples to create a timeline that gives them enough time to account for every important bit of the day with room to spare. That said, some couples may not have the budget or desire to have a ten hour wedding day, and thus not enough time to really get the portraits they want.
Your wedding day does not have to be the last time you are professionally photographed! I know many brides who would jump at the chance to put their dress on again, especially for a more casual or styled portrait session with their new spouse.
For those who did have plenty of time for wedding day portraits, why not schedule an anniversary session in advance? You bring the cake, I'll bring the champagne, and you'll celebrate the first year of many together.

{I wanted} a chance to visit a city I love without the extra work of needing to plan out an agenda, research activities, or be responsible for others. Just a chance to enjoy Paris and actually have PHOTOS of myself there.
It was a way to see Paris but not have to take the responsibility for others or the planning. I saw and did way more in this trip then I ever would have on my own AND I will have some amazing photos of myself on top of it all! I had an amazing time!

If you're a creative entrepreneur, think about your current brand photo situation.
Is it a lot of stock photography? Maybe the photos are actually of you but they were taken in the same-old field at golden hour. Gorgeous, but do they really get your personality out there? Do they convey your sense of adventure, your passion for exploration, your love of travel?
Eight of my ten most 'liked' images on Instagram this year are images of myself. And not just generic headshots; they're images of me on my travels, both portraits and candids. My followers want to know more about my love of exploring and respond to it so well. And as a big part of my personal life, it's important that I keep putting that out there.
Consider the value in having an entire set of photos taken over three full days in Paris, one of the dreamiest cities in the world.

I would say, this was an incredible experience! To have you there with me as my crutch was comforting, I think many of the women felt the same. When you do not speak a language, it can be a scary experience, but you guided us around with ease and knowledge of the city, I never once felt afraid for my safety. Getting around via the Metro was easy and speedy. It was GREAT trip in my eyes.
I was on board immediately bc I wanted to share my very first European experience with you, particularly to Paris, the city you adore. Seeing it through your eyes has opened me up to wanting to adventure out of my comfort zone more. Seeing your fearlessness in navigating the city & mastering the language gives me hope that maybe one day I will get more at ease.
I really love Hotel Henriette mostly for all the reasons you do, it's small, it's friendly, honestly the beds are dreamy as are the linens. It has certain charm about it that I adore. The people that operate it are all very kind. It is convenient having the breakfast right there in the morning before jetting out for the day.

I NEVER WANTED TO GO TO PARIS.
I love to travel. This creative heart of mine is fed by the freshness of exploring new places. But Paris was never on my top 10 list. Not speaking the language triggered a HUGE belief that the city wasn't for me. And because of that I'd likely hate going there.
But given the opportunity to travel with one of your besties to her favorite city in the world, of course I'd go see Paris. Just once.
Little did I realize how much I'd fall in love with the City of Lights. The cafes. The shopping. The food. The architecture. The coffee. The people.
It was all amazing. I felt at ease. By the end I felt at home.
